Youth Soccer Donations

After 9 years, Jack Furrier's and Uniroyal are still proudly sponsoring youth athletics in Tucson by delivering thousands of free leather soccer balls to local youth.

During October and November we will be handing out new soccer balls and making a donation to area leagues for Uniroyal tire sales made during the promotion.

"The soccer ball program is special to us, each year we get to see the reactions of thousands of Tucson and Sierra Vista area children when we hand them a new soccer ball.

These soccer balls have not only impacted kids here, but we have seen them impact children around the world. Over the years we have delivered soccer balls in several countries including children in an around Mexicali and Ensenada Mexico to small villages in Iraq.

Mr. Furrier, Thank you very much for your gift to the Iraqi children...It was terrific memory to take home with us. The neighborhood I was responsible for was in Southern Baghdad, just off of the airport road that is often in the news. There are some very poor areas, and the kids do not have much.  As you might know soccer is one of the very few sports that the Iraqis enjoy.... The support that many like you have shown is absolutely tremendous....I attached a few pictures of some of the kids enjoying the soccer balls you sent.We have to hide them in our trucks to avoid a riot with the children as we hand them out.
